Mangaluru, Oct 5 : Catholic Sabha, Ashoknagar and Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Ashoknagar Unit jointly organized a free vaccination drive for the people above 18 years of age, in collaboration with Kasaba Bengre Primary Health Center at St Dominic Church Hall, Ashoknagar on Sunday, 19th September 2021 at 9:30 am.

Mrs. Jayalaxmi V Shetty - Corporator of Derebail 25th ward, Mr. Warren D'souza - President of BJP Minority Morcha, Rev. Fr. Daniel Veigas OP - Parish Priest, St. Dominic Church, Ashoknagar, Rev. Fr Dileep Veigas - Asst. parish priest, Mrs. Noreen Pinto - Secretary of Parish council and President of Catholic Sabha Episcopal City Deanery, Dr Shilpa - Head of the health center, Mr Winson Dsouza - President of Catholic Sabha unit and Ms. Jean Lobo - President of ICYM Ashoknagar were the dignitaries present.

The drive began with a Prayer song sung by Gleyona Mendoca and Tanusha Nunes. The President of Catholic Sabha welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Corporator Mrs. Jayalaxmi V Shetty addressed the gathering. The president of BJP Minority Morcha spoke a few words about spreading awareness and getting vaccinated. 

The programme was compered by Preethisha Menezes, Secretary of ICYM Ashoknagar Unit. Mrs. Meera Mendonca, Secretary of Catholic Sabha unit proposed vote of thanks to the chief guests , to all the staff members of Health center and to the members of ICYM and Catholic Sabha units for successfully organizing this free vaccination camp.
