Puttur , April 27 : The students’ council at St Philomena College organized ‘Philo Forte-2024,’ a cultural extravaganza, at the Silver Jubilee Hall on 23 April 2024. The event, aimed to extract the hidden talents among the students, was inaugurated by Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, the Principal of the College. During his opening remarks, Dr Monteiro highlighted the importance of such platforms for budding artists, especially as a let – off from the usual academic pressures of exams and assignments. He commended the students’ council for their efforts in coordinating a diverse and enriching cultural program.

Vice-Principals, Dr Krishna Kumar PS and Dr Vijaya Kumar M, along with Office bearers of the students’ council, Bipin, Samruddhi Shenoy, and Raksha were present at the inaugural ceremony.

The event began with a prayer by Prapti Rai and her team. Dr Chandrasekhar K, the Student Welfare Officer, extended a warm welcome, and Ms Jeslin Dcunha proposed a vote of thanks. The program was compered by Brinda BG ofIII BCA.

The cultural showcase featured display of performances, including the classical dance form Bharata Natya, melodious vocal performances, and energetic western dances, all performed by talented students from the college.
