Moodbidri, Oct 4 : On the occasion of its Golden Jubilee, ICYM Taccode unit organised Blood Donation Camp at Taccode Primary school hall on 19th September 2021, in collaboration with Indian Catholic Youth Movement Moodbidri Deanery and Red Cross Society, Mangalore.

Blood donation camp began with a small formal Inauguration programme. Red Cross Society Co-ordinator Mr Praveen Kumar, ICYM unit Director Rev. Fr Naveen Prakash D'Souza, Parish Pastoral Parishad Vice-President Sabitha Rodrigues, Secretary Ivy Crasta, Committee Co-ordinator Michael Crasta, ICYM Animator Francis Mendonca, ICYM Moodbidri Deanery President Praful Prinston D'Souza, ICYM Taccode unit President Ashwitha Fernandes, Secretary Helisha Mendonca, Jubilee Co-ordinator Prinson Rego were present on the occasion.

The programme began by invoking God's presence. Ashwitha Fernandes welcomed the guests and the gathering. A beautiful indoor plant was presented to the guest as a mark of welcome and gratitude.

Praveen Kumar addressed the gathering highlighting the need for blood donation. Kiran Rodrigues offered the vote of thanks.

Those who donated blood were from Taccode parish and locality as well as from the parishes of Moodbidri Deanery. All the ICYM units of Moodbidri Deanery supported this blood donation camp to make this event a success.

89 members donated their blood at the camp which is the highest number of donors in a day at the Diocesan level under the Red drop blood account.

ICYM is thankful to all the donors of Taccode parish and locality as well as the donors of the parishes of Moodbidri Deanery.
