Kinnigoli, July 2 : The PTA General Body Meeting of Maryvale Hr. Pry. School for the academic year 2023-24 was held on 1st July 2023 at 10.00am in the school auditorium. The meeting began with the prayer song and a welcome dance that helped the parents to prepare their minds for the session. The meeting was presided over by the School Correspondent - Sr. Lilly Pereira, Sr. Premlatha – the Superior of Maryvale Convent,Dr. Rayan Mathias – the resource person for the day, Sr. Manisha Rodrigues - the Headmistress, Mrs. Renny Pereira - PTA Vice President.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Mrs. Lona Dsouza the Asst. Teacher welcomed the guests and the gathering. Sr. Manisha Rodrigues BS the headmistress spoke about the rules and regulations of the school. The students of grade VII who excelled in their exams were acknowledged and felicitated.

The Resource Person Dr. Rayan Mathias addressed the audience on the topic “Role of parents in child development”. He also spared some time for interaction with the parents on their queries and doubts on the topic. Mrs. Reena Dsouza read out a brief Minutes of the previous Meetings and the activities undertaken by the PTA in the last academic year. New members were selected for the year 2023-24 and Mr. Stany Miranda was selected as PTA Vice President and Mrs. Helen Mathias as Treasurer. Sr. Lilly Pereira the correspondent addressed the gathering by thanking the staff and the parents for their support and cooperation in all the activities of the school. She stated that the parents play a vital role in shaping a child’s personality. They need to provide emotional and moral support for their children. She asked the parents to journey with their children and spend sufficient time with them.

Mrs. Veena Moras and Mrs. Akshatha Bhat compered the programme. Mrs. Preethi Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks.
