Madanthyar, Sep 10 : Sacred Heart of Jesus Church here celebrated the birthday of our blessed mother Mary on 8th September 2021. It was a special occasion because due to Covid restrictions people could not gather together and after a long wait, all the parishioners gathered to honor our blessed mother Mary.

On that day, the first Eucharistic celebration began at 8:15AM. Before the Eucharistic celebration the little children and other parishioners offered flowers to mother Mary.

Fr Deepak D'sa was the main celebrant and preached a meaningful homily and focused on the importance of Mother Mary in every Christian's life.

Fr Basil Vas blessed the new corn. After the mass it was distributed to all the parishioners.

As the tradition goes, sugarcane was also distributed to all parishioners who attended the Holy Eucharist.

Around 1300 parishioners were present and all the Covid protocols were followed.
