Madanthyar : Sacred Heart Church celebrates Annual Feast

Madanthyar, Nov 30 : On 29th November 2020, the Catholic Church entered the season of Advent and also began the new Liturgical Year. At Sacred Heart Church here, parishioners celebrated their Annual Feast. Due to Covid, the Parish Pastoral Council decided not to have any extra celebration other than celebrating the Holy Eucharist and honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

On the feast day the first mass began at 7:00 AM. Rev Fr Stany Pinto , former Assistant parish priest of the parish presided over the Holy Eucharist and prayed for all the parishioners. Over 300 parishioners were present for the mass.

Then the festal mass began at 9:30 AM. The theme taken for the feast was “ಕಾಳ್ಜಾ ದಿವ್ಯಾಂತ್ ಮೊಗಾ ತೇಲ್ ಘೆವ್ಯಾಂ, ಜೆಜುಚ್ಯಾ ಯೆಣ್ಯಾಕ್ ತಯಾರ್ ರಾವ್ಯಾಂ”. Rev Fr Alwyn Richard Dsouza presided over the Holy Eucharist. Rev Fr Basil Vas, Parish Priest, Fr Jerome Dsouza, Principal, Fr Steevan Coutinho, Assistant Parish Priest, Fr Joseph Dsouza OCD, Superior, Ashadeep and other guest priests were present for the Holy Eucharist.
