Gurpur-Kaikamba, Feb 3 : Pompei Youngster's Club affiliated to ICYM Gurpur Unit and Youth Commission of Gurpur parish organized Pompei Cricket League 2023 – Season 2 to the cricket fans of Our Lady of Pompei Church, Gurpur – Kaikamba on 10th December 2023 in the Rosa Mystica School Ground, Kaikamba.

This was a IPL Format 6 Teams Cricket League tournament. All the 6 teams were formed by the auction prior to the tournament. PRAGATHI STRIKERS are the winners and ASTEROID AMIGOS are the RUNNERS-UP of the PCL 2023 Season 2.

Rev. Fr. Pius Pinto as the President of the closing ceremony, Mr. Richard Fernandes as the Chief Guest, Parish Pastoral Council Vice President Mr. Romans Lobo, Parish 21 Commissions Coordinator Mrs. Hilda Menezes, ICYM-PYC Animator Mr. Godwin Tauro, Sports Secretary Christon Fernandes were present for the prize distribution / closing ceremony. ICYM-PYC President Vaibhav Rodrigues welcomed the gathering. PCL 2023 Event Coordinator Lester Menezes announced the prize winners of the tournament. Viola Moras was the Master of Ceremony for this Closing Ceremony. Owner’s of Pragathi Strikers Mr. Elroy D’Souza and Ms. Sweedal D’Souza, Owner’s of Asteroid Amigos Mr. Joel Fernandes and Roshan Misquith were also present.
