Mangaluru, Sep 14 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Bejai unit, celebrated Novem Jevan on the occasion of The Nativity of Mother Mary, on September 11, 2023 in the SFX Hall at St. Francis Xavier Church, Bejai.

The program was presided by Rev. Fr. J. B. Saldanha, Parish Priest and ICYM Director, along with Rev Fr. Suraj Lobo, Assistant Parish Priest and Asst. ICYM Director and Fr. Robert D’Souza, Principal – Lourdes Central School, Bejai, Sr. Severine Crasta, Superior- St Angela Convent, Bejai, Mr. Godwin Pinto - 21 Commissions Co-ordinator, Mr. Ashok Pinto - Parish Vice President, Mrs. Avitha Pinto - PPP Secretary, and Mrs. Preethi Gomes, Mr. Wilson Lobo, Mr. Rohan Sequeira - ICYM Animators.

The program began at 7.30 p.m. Sonali Rodrigues, ICYM President welcomed all the guests. Rev Fr. J. B. Saldanha led the gathering into prayer, after which he addressed the significance and the importance of Monthi Fest and how ICYM must be united and support the church in its various activities. Fr. Robert D’Souza blessed the food. The Novem Jevan consisted of 7 food items, with the responsibilities distributed among the different ICYM members. The Jevan consisted of Alu dento, moong, kerumb, gosale, black chana, alsande along with idlis, vorn and rice and milk.

Around 16 ICYM members attended this program. The program ended at around 9.00 p.m.
