Puttur, Jan 15 : The Department of Computer Science of St Philomena College here, in association with IQAC of the college organized State level IT Fest ‘PINNACLE 2020’, on 10th January 2020 in college auditorium.

The Proprietor of Varadaraja Traders Puttur Mr Krishnananda Nayak inaugurated the Fest and said, ‘Success is the result of hard work. One cannot achieve success just by dreaming about it. A dream must become reality. By continuously putting great efforts anyone can make a dream into reality.’

The Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the guest of honour and expressed his best wishes.

The Principal of St Philomena PU College Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo expressed his best wishes.

The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha delivered his presidential address.

On this special occasion, Ms Shivani M was felicitated for securing 7th rank in BCA at the Mangalore University level examinations of April/May 2019. The Assistant Professor Mrs. Geetha Poornima K delivered felicitation address.

Ms. Shalini and team performed the prayer. The HoD Mr. Vinayachandra welcomed the gathering. The student coordinator Mr Sherman Baptist Rodrigues proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Shiny D’Souza compered the programme.

This State level IT Fest ‘PINNACLE 2020’ consisted of 10 events. The students from 20 colleges from various parts of Karnataka participated in these events. Sri Medha College Bellari bagged the overall championship and St Aloysius College Mangalore secured the Runners up trophy.

The Prize Distribution ceremony of the ‘PINNACLE 2020’ was organized in the evening. The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha distributed the prizes. The Assistant Professor Mrs. Varija M presented the list of prize winners. The Staff Coordinator Mrs. Rajeshwari M coordinated the programme. The student coordinator Mr Sharath K V proposed the vote of thanks. Ms Richa Jewel D’costa compered the programme.
