Tumakuru, April 3, 2023 : Yesusparsha Team led by Fr Franklin D'Souza began their three days Lenten Retreat at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Tumakuru, Archdiocese of Bangalore on March 31.

Retreat began at 3pm with Rosary led by Prolife Manjula Joy. At 3:30pm Fr Franklin D'Souza and Bro. Harshith Castelino led the Praise and Worship. At 4:15pm Prolife Manjula Joy spoke on "God's love and her testimony". At 5pm Fr Franklin D’Souza led the Way of the Cross. At 6pm Bro. T. K. George spoke on "Jesus the Saviour".

At 7pm Fr Franklin D'Souza led the healing adoration. At 7:30pm he celebrated Holy Eucharist together with Parish Priest Fr Edward David.

Retreat concluded at 8:30pm. Meals were served to all.

Day 2:

Second day's Retreat began at 3pm on April 1 with Rosary led by Prolife Manjula Joy. At 3:30pm Fr Franklin D'Souza and Bro. Harshith Castelino led the Praise and Worship.

At 4:15pm Prolife Manjula Joy spoke on "Importance of life" (1 Cor 3:16-17 & John 10:10). At 5pm Fr Franklin D’Souza spoke on "Crisis in life & how to come out from the Crisis through the power of the Word of God". (Luke 5:1-11).

At 6pm Bro. T. K. George spoke on "Sin and its consequences".

At 7pm Fr Franklin D'Souza led the healing adoration. At 7:30pm he celebrated Holy Eucharist together with Parish Priest Fr Edward David.

Retreat concluded at 8:30pm. Meals were served to all.

Day 3 :

Third day's Retreat began on April 2 with Palm Sunday Holy Eucharist. At 8am faithful gathered at the school campus. Fr Franklin D'Souza led the Palm blessing and then the procession to the Church. He preached a homily on "returning back to the Lord Jesus with genuine Repentance". He stressed the need for Reconciliation with God and with one another.

After the Holy Eucharist at 10:15am Breakfast was served to all. Then at 10:45am Fr Franklin D'Souza and Bro. Harshith Castelino led the Praise and Worship.

At 11:15am Prolife Manjula Joy spoke on "Forgiveness brings healing". At 11:45am Bro. T. K. George spoke on "Biblical blessings and how to activate them in our lives ".

Lunch break was at 1pm.

At 1:45am Fr Franklin D'Souza and Bro. Harshith Castelino led the Praise and Worship. 2pm confessions were organised for the faithful. Meantime Adoration was led by Bro. T. K. George, Prolife Manjula Joy and Bro. Harshith Castelino.

At the end of the Adoration, Fr Franklin D'Souza led the healing and anointing session. He specially prayed for the Children, Youth, Couples, widows & widowers, Priests & Religious and all the members of Parish associations.

Parish Priest Fr Edward David thanked the Yesusparsha Retreat Team for their meaningful Lenten retreat and he also thanked the faithful and all those helped to make this retreat a success.

Retreat concluded at 5pm.
