Mangaluru, Aug 2 : “An instrument in knowledge pays the best interest" - believing in the famous quote, Rosa Mystica PU College, Kinnikambala held its PTA general body meeting on 28th July 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the college auditorium.

The meeting began with imploring God's blessings through a prayer dance and then students from Odisha performed a ritualistic folk dance which depicts a culture’s foundational stories. Ms Shilpa , the lecturer in computer science presented the annual report. Sr Sadhana, the principal, expressed words of welcome. Sr Grace Monica, correspondent, Sr Leera Maria, local manager, Mr Dolphy Lobo ex- vice president of PTA and Mr Vinayak Karanth newly appointed Vice President of PTA were the guests of honour to the programme.

Sr Sadhana, the principal briefed the significance of the gathering and she explained the general norms of the institution which every student of the college is responsible to follow. All the newly appointed PTA members were appreciated and thanked for their initiative in taking up the responsibilities. Sr Leera Maria , the Local manager honored the pride of the institution Sheikh Mohammed Anees for scoring highest marks in PU board exam and Sumiksha for scoring highest marks in SSLC board exam. Mr Vinayak Karanth, PTA vice president in his speech inspired the crowd by the words of Swami Vivekananda. Sr Grace Monica, the correspondent in her speech advised the parents to be a role model to their children and she also encouraged parents to make an effort to contribute more time to understand their children.

Dr Vadiraj Kalluraya was a resource person for the programme. He focused on the significance of education in students' lives. He then said education and wisdom are two equal factors that students need to focus on. He also said discipline should be the lifestyle of every student. He advised the parents to fulfill the requirements of the children but not the desire of the children. He concluded his talk by saying parents need to take interest in shaping students' lives.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Carmela Tauro and the programme was compered by Mr Avil D silva. The programme ended by singing the national anthem.
