Mangaluru, Jul 17 : “Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value” : is a famous quote defining the significance of values in the student’s life. Rosa Mystica PU College, Kinnikambala organized Value Education Seminar on 12th and 13th July 2022 to inculcate the values in the students during this post pandemic year.

Seminar focused on Imbibing the qualities of good conduct, high values and personality development in youth. The program started at 9:30 a.m. in the college auditorium with welcome addressed by the Principal Sr. Sadhana BS.

A very interesting and insightful seminar by Rev Fr Cyril Lobo engaged students' attention throughout the session. Fr Cyril Lobo started his morning session on the topic - “Life is not by a chance, it is by a choice”. And he advised our students to make choices wisely in their life. Fr Cyril Lobo impressed our students by his elegant voice and melodious singing which made the session even more enjoyable. He then highlighted that students should have strong determination to achieve the goal and further he said there is no age limit to achieve something and become a successful person. As an example he showed some motivational videos to our students. He then said HABIT is a settled tendency if one wishes to come out of it ABIT or BIT or IT remains. He concluded the session by saying where your treasure is, there your heart shall be.

A very significant and delightful session by Rev Fr Roman Pinto lit up the students' faces. His lively interaction made the students stay focused throughout the session. Fr Roman Pinto started the session by a distinctive activity to the students that is a blindfolded student asked to construct a pyramid using cubes. Through which he conveyed the message to the students that we all stand independently to construct our life in the society. Fr Roman Pinto spoke on the topic why students get upset in life?, why they make wrong choices in life? He then elaborated that students need to build a strong mindset because today technological devices , Modern society, social media takes no time to put negative thoughts in the minds of students. He then gave guidance to our students to aim high, control anger, respect elders, stop self degradation, fill the mind with good memories etc. He concluded the session by saying life is a journey, to make your life beautiful write the chapters by self.

It was a great refreshing session. The principal Sr Sadhana appreciated and thanked Fr Cyril Lobo and Fr Roman Pinto for the highly informative seminar.
