Moodbidri, Nov 16 : “Children are the best creation of God, they spread joy in every season.”

The Children’s Day was celebrated at Carmel School CBSE Moodbidri on 15th November 2021 in all its radiance, drive and liveliness. The celebration began with Eucharistic Banquet celebrated by Fr. Manoj Capuchin thanking the Lord for his numerous blessings bestowed on every child.

Children came in their colourful traditional attire and experienced their joy of this day with fun and frolic. The children also took part in the creative talent competitions like entertainment dance, folk dance, Children’s Day rice art, coir craft and pencil sketch of Jawaharlal Nehru. Commemorating the birth of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and dedicating this day to all the children the programme began with a prayer service followed by a prayer dance. Various intentions for the good health of children were offered to the almighty. The mesmerising performance of the day were the dances performed by the teachers and a skit based on generation gap was enacted brought cheer to the students. The wishing song highlighted that children are precious to the teachers. The students were overwhelmed with the efforts of the teachers and applauded the teachers for their commendable performance.

Sr. Jyothi the Principal addressed them by saying God still loves the world and everyone is precious to God. She thanked God for bringing the children to the school and for giving an opportunity to celebrate Children’s Day this year in school and to cherish the bond teachers have with the children.

Fun spot games were conducted for the students and prizes were distributed among the winners. Tr. Shiny and Tr. Renita compered the programme and Viola of class X proposed the vote of thanks.

The celebration ended after being served with sweets. Overall the programme was fantabulous and will always remain a memory to one and all.
