Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at St Agnes CBSE School , Bendore here on 26th January 2021. The Chief Guest Mr. Naveen Dsouza , Corporator, Mangaluru City Corporation, Bendore ward was escorted by the students. A prayer service was led by the students in a meaningful way. On this occasion, the Chief Guest unfurled the tricolour flag. The students and the staff saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to uphold the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness of our Motherland. Students in unison with the teachers melodiously sang the Hindi patriotic song “Bharath humko jaan se pyaara hai’’. The melodious song reverberated in the surroundings. The significance of the day was given by Glaval Pinto, the student of grade IX. The backdrop was creatively decorated to suit the occasion. Chief Guest Mr. Naveen Dsouza addressed the gathering and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be the citizens of India. The student of grade IX Anjali Rai concluded the programme by rendering her heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone. The staff and students dispersed with the image of the fluttering tricolour in their minds.

To make the students a part of the celebration various online competitions were conducted for primary students such as fancy dress on Lady of Justice and Mother India, national bird from best out of waste, kite making and pencil sketch of Dr. B. R Ambedkar.
