Mangaluru, Nov 14 : “Children are the best creation of God, to spread joy in every season”.

Carmel School Mangaluru celebrated Children’s Day in a meaningful way. The programme began with the invocation asking God to shower his choicest blessings on the children. It was followed by Lighting of Diya and garlanding the portrait of Jawaharlal Nehru by Sr Sarika, the Principal, Sr Rose Agnes, the Administrator, Sr Shanthi Laveena, the Vice Principal and the staff representatives. The teachers showed their warmth and affection towards children through a cultural extravaganza which commenced with a Welcome Dance. A short Kannada Skit through which the measures to be taken during this pandemic situation and Online Classes was enacted.

A Medley was sung to cheer the children. To get into the mood of celebration, a scintillating dance was performed. A skit “Seasons of Love” showcased the value of having a positive outlook to life. Glimpses of School Days were scanned through, for the students. Sister Sarika, the Principal in her message conveyed her wishes and urged the students to be earnest to reach their goal and be faithful to their parents, teachers and the society. Various competitions were held for the students from L.K.G. to Class X.

With the chorus “Happy Children’s Day” by the faculty along with Chacha Nehru brought the short programme to a close. The programme was compeered by Teachers Marina Marcy D’Souza, Jahnavi V. Sanal and Nisha Jenifer D’Souza. Teacher Liffin Saldanha proposed the Vote of Thanks.
