Mangaluru, Nov 11 : In recognition of the Sesquicentennial Jubilee of the establishment of the Apostolic Carmel in India, St Agnes CBSE School organised Quiz on the life of Venerable Mother Veronica, for the students of grade I to X and the teachers in the month of October 2020.

Being a part of Apostolic congregation all the teachers participated in the quiz competition in pairs. A preliminary round was conducted and the best seven teams were selected for the final round which was held in the School hall on 2nd November 2020. The Quiz competition began by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer song and by lighting of the lamp by the Principal Sr. Maria Gracilda A.C, Vice Principal Sr. Meera A.C and the co-ordinator Sr. Sweedal A.C. The teams represented the names of the Superior Generals who served Apostolic Carmel Congregation. The teams were :

1. Mother Veronica - Trs. Amitha Dsouza and Supreetha B
2. Mother Marie Des Anges - Trs. Devika and Salviya P Dsouza
3. Mother Mary Aloysia - Trs. Janet Antony and Josephine Ignetto
4. Sister M .Vincent A.C - Trs Shanthi Misquith and Sonia Dsouza
5. Sister Agatha Mary A.C - Trs. Babitha and Preema Roshni Coelho
6. Sister Susheela A.C - Trs Chetana and Manisha Saldanha
7. Sister Nirmalini A.C – Trs. Nayana Fernandes and Neesha Fernandes

The Quiz master Sr. Meera A.C conducted the quiz creatively in five different rounds. First round questions were based on the family back ground of Mother Veronica. The second round was on the pearls (quote) of Mother Veronica and Mother Aloysia. The third round was Visual round. The fourth was the Rapid fire round and the last one was the buzzer round. The spectators were encouraging and applauding the participants. Though it was a quite tough competition among the teams they succeeded in scoring remarkable points. Quiz on the life of Venerable Mother Veronica was conducted virtually for the students . A PDF format on the life of Mother Veronica was sent to the students and the quiz was conducted on the same. Students enthusiastically learnt about the life of great visionary Venerable Mother Veronica and participated in great numbers. The competitions presented yet another opportunity for all the participants to showcase and enhance their talent.
