Mangaluru, Nov 2, 2020 : Kannada Rajyotsava is celebrated every year on November 1 since 1956 with great pomp in our State Karnataka. Kannadigas celebrate this day as the Karnataka State formation day where all the Kannada language - speaking regions of South India were merged to form the State.

Mount Carmel Central School celebrated the 65th Kannada Rajyotsava Day virtually in the school on November 1st with a short programme. A few competitions like Fancy Dress on Kannada poets, writers, freedom fighters etc, Bhavageethe, folk songs and mono acting in kannada were held prior to this day to foster love for kannada among the students of Classes I to VIII. It was heartwarming to see the enthusiasm of the students taking part in these competitions.
