Mangaluru, Dec 22 : Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work here celebrated Annual Day on Friday, December 21, 2018.

The programme began with an invocation after which the president of the Student council, Diana S Bangera welcomed the gathering. A digital display of the annual report of the college was presented by the principal, Juliet C J.

The college also dedicated the annual day to Marie Adelaide de Cice, co-foundress of the congregation of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary on the occasion of her 200th death anniversary. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, principal, St Aloysius College, in the city was the chief guest, Philomena D’Sa, provincial, Daughters of the Heart of Mary, India Province South was the guest of honour. The founder principal of the college, Dr Olinda Pereira, principal, Juliet C J and vice principal, Dr Jenis Mary were present.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The formal programme began at 5 pm and was compered by the students of the college – Shravya and Safwan. The programme began with an invocation after which the president of the Student Council, Diana S Bangera welcomed the gathering. A digital presentation of the annual report was screened highlighting the major events during the year. Prizes were distributed by the chief guest, guest of honour and the principal of the college.

The cultural programme which followed, compered by Tiala and Naomi unravelled the multiple talents of the students in variety of dances, songs and theatre. The day was educative with themes on water resources, gender justice and mental health as well as festive and colourful.

The general Secretary of the student council, Priyadarshini proposed the vote of thanks.
