Moodbidri, Feb 1 : Carmel School, Moodbidri celebrated Peace Day or Martyrs’ Day on 30th January 2024 . Martyrs' Day in India, also known as Shaheed Diwas, is observed on January 30 every year. This is the day the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in 1948.

The programme was organized by Grade IX A students. The event commenced with a serene prayer service accompanied by a melodious peace song. The Welcome Dance captivated the audience with its graceful performance.

The esteemed chief guest, Mrs. Mamatha Mohan, teacher from Tulsi Coaching Class, Moodbidri, was greeted warmly by Sr. Preena, who presented a potted sapling as a symbol of growth and harmony. The program featured a thought-provoking skit emphasizing the profound message that "Peace only destroys."

In her insightful speech, Mrs. Mamatha Mohan commended the program and conveyed golden principles, urging everyone to be unique, confident, and think positively. Sr. Ranitha expressed gratitude by presenting a token of respect to the chief guest. Tr Sangeetha was appreciated for training the students for this programme. The programme was compered by Anvisha and Alisha, Keerthan welcomed the gathering. Significance of the day was presented by Genelia. Vote of thanks was delivered by Ralph.

The celebration at Carmel School not only showcased the students' organizational prowess but also fostered a spirit of peace and unity, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
