Mangaluru, Sep 27 : "Grandparents are a family's greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of traditions that linger on in cherished memory." Grandparents are the family's strong foundation. Their very special love sets them apart.

The students and teachers at St Agnes PU College celebrated ‘Elders Day’ on Monday, the 25th of September 2023. All of them were blessed and happy to have the presence of the students' grandparents as audience on this occasion.

The program commenced by invoking God's blessings through a prayer song followed by a floral welcome to the grandparents. Mrs Seetha K, Rtd Administrative Staff of St Agnes PU College graced the occasion as the chief guest. She addressed the gathering with her heartfelt words of gratitude and appreciation for the grandparents. She advised the students that the love and care one gets from their grandparents can never be replaced and so the younger generation should always show them the same love, affection and respect. A little time spent with grandparents is worth more than anything the world can offer us. So let us be good and grateful to them and always make them happy !

Students entertained the grandparents with a few mesmerizing dance performances and games. The smiling face of the grandparents was worth watching and they participated with much enthusiasm and energy.

Ms Moksha Muthamma compered the programme. Ms Laxmi welcomed the gathering and Ms Rishitha proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was witnessed by Sr Norine Dsouza, the Principal, Staff Coordinators Mrs Avitha and Mrs Hariet, the staff and students of the college.
