Mulki, Aug 22, 2022 : The Closing of the Platinum Jubilee (75 years) celebration of Bethany Educational Society was held at Madeleine PU College, Mulki with great joy and enthusiasm. This celebration symbolizes the light which MSGR RFC Mascarenhas had lit 75 years ago is still burning. To be the part of the celebration, Sr. Dr. Lilly Pereira BS, Provincial Councillor, Mangalore Province, Sr. Mariola BS, Superior of Madeleine Convent and Correspondent of Madeleine & Bethany Institutions, Mr. Ashok Shetty, Alumnus, Rtd Manager, Canara Bank, Kallamundkur, Mrs. Hilda Robert Furtado, Rtd Teacher, Madeleine Hr Pry school, Mulki, Dr. Prashanth Mohan B.H, Alumnus, Madeleine High School, Miss K Sameeksha Bhaskar Hegde, Alumna, Bethany Hr Pry School, Kilpady and other dignitaries were present.

The Program began with the prayer dance followed by welcome dance. Later the dignitaries were invited to the stage.

The dignitaries were welcomed warmly with beautiful saplings during the stage programme. The tribute to the Founder was paid showering flower petals by the dignitaries.

During this celebration, Mr. Ashok Shetty, Alumnus, Rtd Manager, Canara Bank, Kallamundkur, Mrs. Hilda Robert Furtado, Rtd Teacher, Madeleine Hr Pry school, Mulki, Dr. Prashanth Mohan B.H, Alumnus, Madeleine High School, Miss K Sameeksha Bhaskar Hegde, Alumna, Bethany Hr Pry School, Kilpady were felicitated.

The president of the day’s programme, Sr Dr Lilly Pereira BS in her speech applauded the undaunted courage of the Founder and the pioneers striving to impart quality education to the people in the rural area. She recalled the growth and contribution of BES under the guidance of its visionaries. She also encouraged students to make best use of the education that they receive.

The Chief Guest Mr. Ashok Shetty in his speech remembered all the teachers of BES who inculcated great values in him. He also appreciated the commitment of BES in imparting education to all according to the vision of RFC Mascarenhas.

Beautiful cultural programme was put on by students of Madeleine & Bethany Institutions.

The program was compered by Sr.Lydia BS & Mrs. Jyothi Serrao and vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Vishanth Shetty.
