Belthangady, Oct 20 : Indian Youth Catholic Movement Manjotty unit along with Belthangady deanery organized "Holy Cross Trophy 2K22" underarm full ground cricket tournament for Belthangady deanery youths on 16th October 2022 at Starline English medium school Manjotty.

Belthangady deanery director as well as parish priest of Manjotty Fr. Praveen Dsouza, Starline English medium school's Headmaster Mr. Jakin Bin, parish pastoral council vice president Mr. Valerian Monis, Animator Mrs. Shalitha Pinto and ICYM Belthangady deanery president Prakash Dsouza were on the dais.

Manjotty unit president Kiran Miranda welcomed the gathering. President of the program Fr. Praveen Dsouza inaugurated the program by bowling and batting on the game field and addressed the gathering by wishing good success for the event.

The champions of the Holy Cross Trophy 2K22 were Manjotty unit, 1st Runner up were Madanthyar unit and 2nd Runner up were Belthangady unit. The team prizes and individual prizes were distributed by Director Fr. Praveen Dsouza, Animator Shalitha Pinto, parish pastoral council vice-president Valerian Monis and Madanthyar parish Assistant priest Fr. William Dsouza. Manjotty unit secretary Seema Lobo rendered vote of thanks and the event ended successfully.

Around 10 teams participated in the tournament. Nala parish priest Fr. Thomas Sequeira and ICYM Mangalore diocese vice president as well as Belthangady Deanery representative Winston Sequeira were present.
