Mangaluru, Feb 16 : “No one has ever become poor by giving” – Ann Frank

Lourdes Central School celebrates the feast of its patroness, Mother Mary of Lourdes every year on 11th February.

‘Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much’.

To foster the qualities of sharing and contributing, all our Lourdites were asked to show their generosity and on this occasion. Collection drive is being organised to help the underprivileged of the society. As usual this year also a collection drive was held on 7th and 8th February.

Students from KG to class 12 brought items like cereals, grains, stationery, toiletries, etc. with concern and love for the needy.

The Principal and the staff appreciated the kind gesture of the parent community who supported their wards to take part in the collection drive.

LCS appreciates the cabinet ministers and also class 8 students who helped to sort out the things, pack it and send it to the various ashrams like Karunamaya Ashram Cascia, Paschim Rehabilitation Centre Ullal, Little Sisters of the poor Maroli, Snehadeepa Ashram Kapikad Bejai, St Angela Boarding Bejai, Ashraya Girls orphanage Anegundi, Bejai and Aloysius Student Hostel Neharunagar. LCS is truly indebted to the generosity shown by the parent community and the great interest shown by the students of Lourdes Central School.
