Mangaluru , Nov 2 : Lourdes Central school celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava with due respect, pomp and fervour at L.C.S grounds on 1st November 2021. The programme started at 8 am sharp. The chief guests were principal Rev Fr Robert Dsouza, Vice principal Ms Belita Mascarenhas and Rev Fr Anush Dcunha.

The students of class IX Conducted the full programme. Gauthami and Shreya Arbi of Class IX B hosted the programme. Staff of L.C.S sang the prayer song. Pragathi of Class IX B welcomed the gathering.

The teachers sang the Naada Geethe, 'Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate' melodiously followed by a mesmerising dance by students of Class IX B for a Kannada medley song. Diya N Yashodar of Class IX B spoke on the importance of Karnataka Rajyotsava.

The winners of the Kannada mono acting presented their talents and won the hearts of the audience. Principal Rev Fr Robert Dsouza spoke on the occasion and appreciated all the efforts of the students and staff. He spoke of the beauty of the land of Karnataka, its achievements and fame. He spoke on the sad demise of actor Puneeth Rajkumar and his good deeds.

The programme came to an end by vote of thanks by Vamshitha Shetty of Class VIII B.

The whole programme was conducted in Kannada and ended with beautiful Kannada song which created an ambience and devotion dedicated to the land of Karnataka.
