Mangaluru, Aug 3 : The staff of St. Agnes CBSE School in the city along with the Principal Sr. Maria Gracilda A.C., celebrated the Feast of Mount Carmel and Vanmahotsav, on 1st August 2020. It was indeed a carnival at St. Agnes CBSE School as the school welcomed the newly appointed Superior and Joint Secretary of St. Agnes Institutions Sr. Dr. Lydia Fernandes A.C and also commemorated her Feast day.

The day began by invoking God’s blessings through prayer service. The Superior and Joint Secretary Sr. Dr. Lydia Fernandes A.C inaugurated the programme by planting the sapling. Green is nature’s colour and so soothing like a cool refreshing balm. Green is healing, balancing and resorting. It is a sign of a new growth in the aura. The school campus was vibrating with a message that to sustain life on earth it’s necessary to ‘GO GREEN’.

The energetic teachers performed a dance depicting the nature and a tableau on Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The Principal along with the staff choir raised their melodious voices in unison as they wished the Joint Secretary on her feast day which made the celebration more meaningful. The Joint Secretary of the institution then addressed the gathering and delivered her message.

The programme concluded by thanking each and everyone who made the efforts to make the celebration a memorable one.
