The decennial year celebration of Diocese of Udupi and diocesan eucharistic procession was held on November 20, 2022 at Milagres Cathedral Kallianpur.
Dr Gerald Issac Lobo, Bishop diocese of Udupi was the chief celebrant for the thanksgiving eucharistic celebrations and delivered a meaningful homily.
Fr Cyril Lobo, director Divyajyothi conducted the adoration of the Holy Eucharist. It was taken out in a procession from Milagres Cathedral to Mount Rosary Church with much holistic fervour.
Fr Johnson Sequiera, principal, St Mary’s English medium school, Kanarpady delivered the homily in Mount Rosary Church premises.
Medical fund for the needy of the diocese was launched as part of the decennial year celebrations. A documentary depicting the ten years of Udupi diocese and the books were released on the occasion.
Dr Gerald Issac Lobo, Bishop diocese of Udupi was honoured on the occasion for his selfless service to the diocese.
More than 4000 faithful along with priests, nuns participated in the Holy Eucharistic procession. Members of ICYM Udupi diocese took the lead in smooth proceedings of the Eucharistic procession.
Fr Roshan D’souza, chancellor, Fr Valerian Mendonca, rector Milagres Cathedral, Fr Leslie D’souza of Shirva deanery, Fr Paul Rego of Karkala deanery, Fr Rock D’sa, parish priest Mount rosary, Fr Stany B Lobo, parish priest Udyavar, Fr Denis D’sa and other priests from the diocese were present on the occasion.
