May 30, 2026 :The National Eucharistic Pilgrimage is making its way along the East Coast, traveling through Georgia this week.

The pilgrimage stopped in Darien, Georgia, where 400 years ago, five Spanish Franciscan missionaries evangelized the indigenous people. Father Pablo Migone, vicar for mission advancement for the Diocese of Savannah, highlighted the Georgia Martyrs, drawing attention to their upcoming beatification, as they are expected to become the first saints of the state of Georgia.
