June 10, 2026 : Pope Leo XIV paid visit to "Brians 1 Penitential Center" during his Apostolic Journey to Spain on Wednesday morning.
The pope reminded the prisoners that life's mistakes do not define a person's identity, stressing that the Lord will never cease to show them His love, which outweighs any good or bad we have done.
Though the meeting only lasted about 20 minutes, the encounter was deeply emotional. Two women prisoners shared their testimonies with the pope, including Montse, whose story was especially moving.
