June 2, 2026 : Joining people and Marian shrines all around the world, Pope Leo XIV prayed the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary at the Grotto of Lourdes in the Vatican Gardens, specifically remembering those living in areas affected by war and violence. He called on the faithful to become peacemakers and urged individuals to build peace in their daily lives.
According to the Dicastery for Evangelization, over 200 shrines worldwide joined and took part in the recitation of the Rosary with Pope Leo. At each of the shrines, there were more than 100,000 people in attendance and people from Lebanon, Nicaragua, Ukraine, Tanzania, and Syria read the Gospel passages for the decades.
The following day, on the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity, the Pope reflected on the central mystery of our faith, sharing that “the Trinity leads us to love everything and everyone.”
