Mangaluru, July 12 : ICYM unit of Infant Mary's Church, Katipalla in collaboration with Catholic Sabha, Environment commission and Women’s commission of the parish organised a informative program on rainwater harvesting to emphasize its benefits and necessity and also celebrated Vanamahotsav on 9th July 2023 in the church premises. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Santhosh Lobo , chief guest Rev. Fr. Vincent Dsouza from CODP and Rev. Fr. George Crasta, Secretary of Parish pastoral council Ms. Vivid Dsouza , Ms. Iral Dsouza president of ICYM Katipalla unit inaugurated this program .

Mr. Delvin Fernandes welcomed the guests and the gathering . Rev. Fr. Vincent Dsouza addressed the parishioners on the importance and ways of harvesting Rain water and also a demonstration on rainwater harvesting was given to the parishioners.

After this session , saplings were distributed to the parishioners by the dignitaries and members of Catholic Sabha followed by planting saplings by ICYM members along with members of other commissions around the church ground. The program was concluded with words of gratitude by Mrs. Vinitha Dsouza.
