Bantwal, Nov 3 : ICYM Manela Unit, Parish Sports Committee and with the help of various Parish Associations organised ‘Khana Khela Fest 2022’ with the motto ‘win or lose, stay close’ for the Parishioners on Sunday, 30th October 2022 at Christ the King Church ground Manela at 10.00 am. The event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. ICYM members led the prayer song.

The Parish Priest and ICYM Director Rev Fr Paul Prakash Dsouza, Mr. John Cutinha & Mr. Joyel Cutinha were the chief guests, Br. Colin, Convent Superior Sr. Saritha, Parish Council Secretary Mr. Urban Dsouza, Sports Committee Leader Mr. Roshan Tellis, ICYM Animator Mrs. Shaila Dsouza and ICYM President Mr. Hrithwik DSouza were on the dais.

The ICYM President Mr. Hrithwik welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest Mr. John Cutinha appreciated this wonderful idea. Parish Priest Rev Fr. Prakash Dsouza delivered the Presidential address. ICYM Secretary Ms. Melvita Cutinha delivered vote of thanks and Mr. Anish Monteiro was the Master of Ceremony.

The entire parishioners were divided into 4 groups consisting of all ages. Various games were played between them like volleyball, throw ball, dodgeball, cricket and also other exciting games were played with the help of Parish Sports Committee and youth.

Along with that to make contribution towards the Mission, ICYM, YCS, Altar sodality, and other associations prepared fruits salad, fish fry, lemon soda, panipuri etc., and sold them to the parishioners.

In the closing ceremony, winners were awarded trophies and medals. Guests and sponsors were honoured with mementos. Nearly 180 parishioners took part in this event. Overall it was a fun filled and enjoyable day.
