Fajir, April 07 : ICYM unit of Our Lady Of Mercy Church Fajir in association with cultural & youth committee organized "ICYM SAMSKRITHIK SANJ 2K18" a cultural program at Fajir church open ground from 6.00pm onwards on April 1, 2018.

Program president was Rev. Fr Valerian Pinto - Parish priest & director ICYM Fajir; chief guest of the program was Rev. Fr Stany Periera - parish priest of Urwa & also former parish priest of Fajir; guest of honor was Yuva Spoorthi Rev. Fr Ronald Prakash Dsouza - Mangalore diocean youth director & secretary of Mangalore diocese youth commission; Rev.Fr Michael Dsouza - director ICYM South Deanery, Mr. Elroy Saldhana- president ICYM cental council & Mr. Joel Concessao - Secretary ICYM central council, parish pastrol vice president Roshan DSouza, Secretary Victor Mendonca, cultural& youth committee president Santhosh DSouza, Fajir ICYM president Joyson lobo, Secretary Crystal DSouza, program co-ordinator Lancy D'Almeida were present on the dias.

The main motto of the program was to celebrate completion of 30 years of ICYM at Fajir. On this occasion, ICYM congratulated all 30 presidents till date by the dignitaries on the dias. At the mean time, glimpses of various activities done during these 30 years of service was showcased.

On this occasion , ICYM felicitated Yuva Spoorthi awardee Rev.Fr Ronald Prakash DSouza, Rev.Fr Stany Periera, Rev. Fr Michael DSouza & Rev. Fr Valerian Pinto for their support , service, guidance and motivation given for youth.They provided their valuable messages on his occasion. They pledged youth to think innovatively rather than adopting same older thoughts & adviced youth not to give up any task at any circumstances in life.

On this occasion Mr. Harsha Dsouza & Mr. Jerald Brags were felicitated for their unconditional service and support towards ICYM. In the present term 2017-18, ICYM organised several competitions for various categories, so prize distribution ceremony for winners was carried out. In cultural program, ICYM members as well parish children showcased their talents. Nellu permannur & team made people to laugh by their various kinds of fun filled jokes & thereby entertained the gathering.
