Mudipu, Oct 24 : St. Joseph Vaz Parish, Mudipu celebrated the Mission Sunday and Mudipu Premier League (MPL) on 23rd October, 2022. Morning there was a celebration of the Holy Eucharist, where in, there was a special offertory collection by priests themselves for the mission and people brought various things for auction.

Immediately after the mass, there was an auction wherein, all the parishioners participated actively showing their interest on mission followed by breakfast.

After this, the Mudipu ICYM unit conducted a special mega event called MPL which means Mudipu Premier League. Rev. Fr. Assissi Rebello - Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Rony Pinto - Assistant Parish Priest, Mr. Naveen Dsouza - Vice President, Dr. Irene Veigas - Secretary, Mr. Santhosh Deepak Dsouza - Animator of Mudipu ICYM and Br. Pranay Pereira OCD were present for the inaugural programme. Some of the generous hearted parishioners stood as sponsors to this event.

First of all, there were spot games to all categories of people followed by Cricket and Throw ball matches. 7 teams consisting of different parishioners participated in under arm cricket and 3 teams of different parishioners participated in throw ball. It was a big success through the help of sponsors and the hard work of the members of the ICYM Mudipu unit, headed by Prithesh Tellis , ICYM President and Veekshitha Dsouza , ICYM Secretary. The event came to an end successfully at sunset around 6:30 PM.
