Eliyarpadav was once part of Fajir parish. Mr. Peter Cunha and family donated the site for a chapel. Fr. Victor D’Souza of Fajir started this sub-station in the year 2000. This station served 120 families of Fajir and 60 of Ullal Panir.
Fr. Peter Fernandes was appointed as priest in-charge (parochial administrator) from 01 June 2003. Fr Reginald Pinto was second parochial administrator from 31 October 2005. On 24 February 2007 it was erected as a separate and independent parish and Fr Reginald Pinto was appointed as the First Parish Priest. As a parish priest, he revitalized the people by various skill oriented activities and seminars. He has added a church portico and built a grotto of Mother Mary.
After Fr Reginald, Fr. Gilbert D’souza served the parish from 2013 - 2020. During his tenure, renovated Holy Cross Church was inaugurated and blessed on May 25, 2019 by Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese. Bishop was the main celebrant of the mass whereas Parish Priest Rev Fr Gilbert D’Souza, Vicar Vara of Mangalore South Deanery Rev Fr J B Saldanha and other priests concelebrated.
After Fr. Gilbert, Fr John D'Souza has been serving the parish from 2020 onwards.
