Belthangady, July 18 : ICYM Badyar Unit along with Youth Commission and Environment Commission celebrated Laudato Si Sunday on 16 July 2023 at St. Raphael Church, Badyar.

The dignitaries present for the program were Fr. Melvin Dsouza Parish Priest, Vice President Mr. Valerian Crasta, Secretary Mrs. Premalata Frank , Br. Mervin Lobo , All Committees Convener Mrs. Gretta D'costa, Youth Convener Mr. Kevin Dsouza, Environment Convener Mr. Maxim Sequeira and ICYM Co-ordinator Mr. Rajesh Serrao and ICYM President Arvin Goveas.

Mr. Jerald Dsouza welcomed the gathering.

The ceremony was inaugurated by offering a sapling to Fr. Melvin Dsouza by the ICYM President Arvin Goveas.

Prizes were distributed to the members who had taken the intense care to the saplings distributed during Environmental Day last year.

The planting of sapling was initiated by Parish Priest Fr. Melvin Dsouza along with the Vice president Mr. Valerian Crasta , Secretary Mrs. Premalata Frank, Br. Mervin Lobo forwarded by ICYM President and members. The sapling was planted in the Church surroundings.

The program was concluded by proposing vote of thanks by Secretary of Youth Commission Rishal Goveas.
