Belthangady, Sep 18 : Benjamin Franklin, the famous statesman once said, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.” Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions.

Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Venur Unit organized a Teachers' day celebration event on 11th September 2022 at 10 AM on the premises of Christ the King church, Venur. Rev. Fr Peter Aranha, the Parish Priest and also the Director of ICYM Venur unit, and Mr Dennis Sequeira, the Vice President of Pastoral Council, along with Mr Steevan D’Cunha, the Secretary of Pastoral Council were present.

The program began with a short prayer. The President of ICYM Venur unit Mr Shaun Serrao welcomed the gathering, and the members welcomed their teachers with overwhelming applause. Mr. Ronald D’Souza addressed the teachers on the occasion.

Parish Priest along with other dignitaries presented the teachers with a token of gratitude on behalf of the ICYM members and parishioners. The Parish Priest addressed the gathering.

Vote of thanks for the teachers, the guests and the members present on the day was delivered by Ms. Veena Jovita D’Souza who also compered the program. A total of 38 teachers were present on the occasion.
