Belthangady, Sep 6 : ICYM Belthangady unit organized “Virtual Teachers' Day” celebration for all the teachers of Belthangady parish on 5th September 2021 at 10:30am through google meet platform. ICYM members began the celebration by seeking God’s blessings through a prayer song. Miss Viyanni Dsouza, the president of ICYM welcomed the gathering. Fr. Clifford Pinto, the Principal of English medium school depicted the programme. Miss Jovita, gave a brief introduction of the resource person to the audience. Fr. Alwyn Serrao, Principal of St. Antony’s college Naravi, the resource person of the day shared the responsibility and role of teachers. He also stressed the challenges of National Educational Policy.

Mr. Aloysius Lobo, the Vice president and Mrs. Pauline Rego the secretary of Parish pastoral council addressed the gathering and stressed on the importance of teachers' day. 

Wishing song and dance were presented by youths. Lucky Games were conducted for the teachers. On behalf of all the teachers Miss Theophila Dsouza shared her views about the programme. Rev. Fr. Joseph Cardoza, the parish priest delivered the presidential address.

Miss Larin, the secretary of ICYM delivered the vote of thanks.  Glen Monis compered the programme. 60 teachers from the parish attended the celebration.
