Belthangady, Nov 21 : Sports and games are the most important events in college life. It not only cherishes students' lives but also helps them to grow around.

The Inauguration of the Annual Sports day was held at St Theresa Composite P U College Belthangady on 18th November 2023 in the College in splendour.
The meet began gracefully by seeking God's blessings through a hymn by the College choir.

The president Sr Jacintha Baretto the animator of St Therese Convent Belthangady and the Chief guest Mr Alwyn Jorome Dsouza the President of Catholic Sabha Association of Mangalore diocese, was escorted by the Principal Sr Arogyamma Kalghatgi , Mr Herald Noronha the coordinator for Science and Mr Joseph K H ( Roy) the vice president of Parents Teachers Association.

Mr Herald Noronha the coordinator for Science welcomed the gathering, Mrs Sylvia Kumari Pinto hosted the whole stage programme and Mrs Nirupama rendered the vote of thanks.

Burning torch was borne by Likith the college Sports Minister and other athletics and then handed over to the chief guest as a symbol of light of spirit. The College Sports Minister Likith and other students took the oath of sportsmanship.

Events such as Running, Short put, high jump, long jump, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Throwball, tug of war were organised for girls and boys separately.

Mr Sharath Pinto the physical education teacher of Holy Redeemer School Belthangady was welcomed and assisted to conduct the spots for students.

The principal appreciated the participation of students and congratulated the winners.

All teaching and non teaching staff, along with  students cooperated with all necessary arrangements in making the sports meet 2023 a grand success.
