Belthangady, Sep 26 : On the occasion of "Monthi Festh", I.C.Y.M. unit of St Peter Claver Church, Arva conducted various online competitions for the Parishioners.

Four different competitions were held for different categories.
1. Fancy dress competition "ನಕ್ಲಿ ನೆಸ್ಣಾ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೊ" was held for the children of 4 to 6 years with the theme of Mother Mary for girls and St. Joseph for boys.

2. Flowers are an inseparable part of Monthi Festh,"ಫುಲಾಂಚಿ ದಾಲಿ ಸಜಾವ್ಣಿ" (arranging flowers) competition was held in two categories. The first was for the classes 1 to 5 and the second category for the classes of 6 to 10.

3.Monthi festh being a family feast wherein the whole family gathers and together they have a delicious festive meal. To double this happiness "ನವೆಂ ಜೆoವ್ಚೆo ವೆಳಿo ಕುಟ್ಮಾ ಸಾoಗಾತಾ ತಸ್ವೀರ್ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೊ" (family photo having 'Novem Jevan') competition was held for all the parishioners.

4.In devotion to Mother Mary, "ವಾಡ್ಯಾವಾರ್ ಮರಿಯಾಳ್ ಗಾಯಾನ್ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೊ" (Marian hymns singing competition) was held. Melodious hymns were sent in by the wards.

The winners were announced on Sunday, 17 September 2023 after the first mass. The prizes to all the winners will be distributed on I.C.Y.M annual day.

Surprisingly, large number of parishioners took active part in all the Competition. They brought in their vivid imaginations and creative skills in the floral arrangements. The little children put in their utmost efforts in dressing their part with the props and were looking no less than angels. These competitions also provided a wonderful opportunity for the parishioners to showcase their talents.
