Belthangady, Dec 5 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement unit of St Peter Claver Church, Arva conducted "ಜಾಣ್ವಾಯೆಕ್ ಸವಾಲ್ -2022", inter-ward quiz competition for the parishioners on 4th December 2022 at 10 am , after the breakfast.

Rev.Fr.Elias D'Souza, ICYM Director; Mr. Robin Joseph Sera, quiz master; Mr.Lawrence Pais, vice president, parish pastoral council; Mr.Steevan Pais, secretary, parish pastoral council and Princia Fernandes, ICYM secretary were present on the dais.

There was a small stage program anchored by Natasha Mascarenhas. Parish Priest delivered an insightful message on the importance of competitive spirit and appreciated the youth for organizing this competition. Mr.Robin Joseph Sera, faculty from Sacred Heart College Madanthyar, YCS animator Belthangady deanery was the quiz master for the day.

After the stage program, the stage was handed over to the quiz master. 8 wards actively participated in this event, consisting of 5 members each . A total of 9 rounds were held which included oral, written as well as visual rounds. The competition was based on Bible and General knowledge.

Quiz master announced the results. First place was bagged by Immaculate Heart of Mary ward and second place by St. Lawrence ward.

Competition ended at 11.30. The parishioners and the youths participated actively by their presence.
