Madanthyar, July 12 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Madanthyar unit organized “Yuva Spark- 2k23” for the youths of Sacred Heart Church Madanthyar on Sunday 9th July 2023 at Sacred Heart Church Community Hall. The program began at 9:30 am. There was a small half an hour session in the morning for the youths as well as their parents on participation of youths in ICYM.

Mr. Nelson Monis took over the first session where he trained the youths for Emcee. He also shared his experience about hosting an event.

The second session was taken by Fr Anil Dsouza where he discussed and gave his opinion about “Intercaste Marriage, Devotion and Ethical Living”.

The third Session was taken by Mrs Amline Dsouza. She encouraged the youths to explore their career paths towards Govt job opportunities. She also shared her experience towards the preparation for Govt examination.

Between the talks various group activities were organised for youths to energize them and to keep them active throughout the day.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Rev. Fr Stany Goveas – Parish priest, Fr William Dsouza – Assistant Parish priest, Fr Praveen Dsouza - Director of Belthangady ICYM, Mr Jerald Moras – Parish Council Vice President, Mr Nelson Lasrado – Parish Council Secretary, Mr Richard Moras – Coordinator, William Sequeira – Animator ICYM Madanthyar, Elvin Dcunha – ICYM President Belthangady Deanery, Josvita Dsouza – President ICYM Madanthyar, Ashwitha Moras – Joint Secretary ICYM Madanthyar. The other Core- Committee members of deanery were also present.

Josvita Dsouza welcomed the gathering. The Guests were given a floral welcome by Office Bearers of ICYM Madanthyar. The guests encouraged the youths by their speech. Ashwitha Moras proposed the vote of thanks. Roshni Dsouza led the inaugural Programme as the Emcee.

About 150 youths participated in this programme. The programme ended with a baila dance.
