Kinnigoli, Jun 20 : The Annual ‘Van Mahotsav’ Day was organized by the ICYM Niddodi Unit on 19th June 2022. Parish Priest Rev Fr. Denis Suares , Parish council vice president John Kishore Dsouza, ICYM Niddodi President Stallan Serrao along with members distributed saplings of different varieties to the Parishioners for free of cost. The main motive of this programme was to create awareness of forest conservation and saving the environment.

Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr Denis Suares said that "God had created the environment and human beings to stay in harmony with each other. But unfortunately, the imbalance between the two was disturbing. We should join hands to remove this imbalance".

In this regard, more than 200 saplings of different varieties were donated by Vijaya Yuva Sangama, Yekkar Forest. These included saplings of Litchi, Neem, Jackfruit, Wild jackfruit, and other wild trees.

Parishioners expressed their gratitude to the organizing committee for encouraging such an Awareness drive.
