It was significant day of commemoration of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and day of foundation (21.11.1832) of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Saints Bartolomea Capitanio and Vincenza Gerosa. On this day 21 sisters from Asia and Africa made their final commitment.

Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore officiated at the Eucharist along with, Fr. William Menezes Parish Priest and other priests.
