Bantwal, Sep 25 : ICYM and YCS units of Infant Jesus Church, Modankap, Bantwal organized an anti-drug street performance as part of the Diocese of Mangalore's month-long anti-drug campaign in September. This event took place on September 24, 2023 at the Bantwal Church grounds, following the Sunday mass.

The event was attended by several distinguished guests including Rev. Fr. Valerian D'souza ( Parish priest), Fr. Rahul (Assistant Parish Priest), Fr. Melwin (Headmaster of Infant Jesus English Medium School), Mr. Donald D'souza (YCS Animator), Mr. Sunil Veigas (Vice President of Infant Jesus Church), Mr. Manohar Dcosta (Secretary of Infant Jesus Church), and Mrs. Veena Goveas (Coordinator of all commissions of Infant Jesus Church).

The main attraction of the event was a street play titled 'Say no to drugs.' This powerful performance was designed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and to inspire individuals to make healthier choices.

Mr. Donald D'souza, the YCS Animator took on the role of directing the street play. Additionally during the event, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Rahul D'souza delivered a heartfelt message and conveyed his appreciation to the diligent YCS and ICYM members for their tireless efforts in spreading awareness about the drug problem.

The event reached its culmination with the official unveiling of a banner led by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Valerian D'souza, and joined by Fr. Rahul, Fr. Melwin, Mr. Donald D'souza, Mr. Sunil Veigas, Mr. Manohar Dcosta, Mrs. Veena Goveas, along with the dedicated members of ICYM and YCS.
