Omzoor, Sep 8 : The feast of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also called the ‘Monthi Festh’ was celebrated with devotion at Holy Family Church, Omzoor on 8th September, 2023. The procession honouring Blessed Virgin Mary was conducted starting from the church grounds with utmost devotion with a band, children with flowers to offer Mother Mary, a large number of faithful and Parish clergy.

Blessing of the new corn was held at the church grounds followed by offering a variety of flowers to Mother Mary.

Fr Rajesh Rosario, professor at St Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu was the main celebrant. Fr Alwyn Dcunha, parish priest concelebrated the Eucharist. Fr Rajesh preached the homily and expounded the importance of family and the beauty of the feast.

Fr Alwyn Dcunha, parish priest thanked everyone for the whole hearted support towards the 9 days of Novena and for the successful celebration of the Nativity Feast.

Blessed new corn was distributed to all the devotees by the members of Parish Pastoral Council. Snacks were distributed to all by Sthree Sanghatan and Sugarcane by ICYM.
