Mangaluru, Nov 18 : ICYM unit of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Kuppepadavu on the occasion of Children's day , organized 'Nenthi Taaram ' an event comprising various competitions and cultural programs for children of Kuppepadavu parish on 13 November 2022. On this occasion Rev .Fr Gratian Alvares - Parish priest and unit ICYM Director; Rev.Fr.Ashwin Cardoza - Director ICYM Diocese of Mangalore; Mr Joseph Moras- vice president & Mrs Lona Rosario- secretary of parish pastoral council ; Mr.Nihan Sequeira - vice president of ICYM Bantwal deanery ; Mr Thomas Rosario - ICYM Kuppepadavu Unit Animator; Mr. Pradeep Rosario - President of ICYM Kuppepadavu Unit and Jenisha Pinto - Secretary of ICYM Kuppepadavu Unit were the dignitaries of the programme. The prayer was led by YCS members. After the inauguration program, various competitions were conducted for the children.

The competitions conducted were:

1) Creative Photo Contest for small kids
2) Rhymes Singing Competition for LKG and UKG kids
3) Fancy Dress Competition- 1st to 3rd std
4) Drawing Competition- 4th to 6th std
5) Best out of waste- 7th and 8th std
6) Flower arrangement - 9th and 10th std
7) Pick and Talk - YCS

In the afternoon there were various cultural programs from the children and ICYM members. Elroy Saldanha and Mr.Vivian Fernandes were the judges for the competition. Prizes were distributed in the Evening for the winners of the competition. ICYM Bantwal Deanery president Melroy D'Souza and ICYM Mangalore Diocese President Anil John Sequeira visited the Unit. 

Jenishiya Sequeira,  member of YCS and Glenvin Rosario compered the program. Pradeep Rosario, president of ICYM Kuppepadavu Unit welcomed the gathering. Jenisha Pinto, Secretary of ICYM Kuppepadavu Unit proposed the vote of thanks. Around 80 children took part in the program.
