Bantwal, Nov 17 : ICYM unit of Our Lady Of Loretto Church, Loretto along with the Youth Commission held “INSPIRE-2022” for all youths of the parish in the church hall on 16th October 2022. The registration took place at 9:00 am onwards, followed by a stage program at 9:30 am. Ms. Shoba Jacintha D’Souza was the resource person for the day.

Rev.Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, director of ICYM Mangalore diocese; Rev.Fr. Francis Crasta, Parish priest and director of ICYM Loretto unit; Ms. Shoba Jacintha D’souza, resource person; Rev.Fr. Jaison Monis, Principal of Loretto English Medium School; Mr. Roy Carlo, Vice President of Parish council; Mr. Alwyn Pinto, Secretary of parish council and Animator of ICYM Loretto unit; Sr. Agnes Andrade, convent superior; Sr. Idoline Rodrigues, Headmistress of Loretto Kannada Medium School; Mr. Kevin D’Souza, convener of Youth Commission and Animator of YCS; Mr. Cyprian D’souza, coordinator of all commissions; Ms. Viola Lewis, ICYM Karnataka provincial committee representative; Ms. Melisha Sequeira, ICYM president were present on the dais.

The program, anchored by Nihan Sequeira, commenced with prayer led by ICYM members. Ms. Melisha Sequeira welcomed the guests and the gathering. The program was inaugurated by sticking the words of INSPIRE 2022 to the frame. Rev.Fr. Ashwin Cardoza encouraged the youth with his motivational talk. Rev.Fr. Francis Crasta encouraged the youths to utilize the program to its fullest potential.

After the inaugural program, Ms. Viola Lewis introduced the resource person Ms. Shoba Jacintha D’souza who spoke on the importance of organization for the youth and conducted various activities and with every activity was a lesson learnt. It was a very informative talk where everyone got to learn about the current societal problems and ways of dealing with it. The session was very interesting with lots of fun activities and thoughtful lessons.

Rev.Fr. Francis Crasta gave the token of gratitude to the resource person. For the great achievements of Ms. Viola Lewis, the parish priest, led an honor program and honored her. Mr. Hanson Pinto, Secretary of ICYM proposed the vote of thanks. Rev.Fr. Jason Monis blessed the food and at last they planted rambutan fruit in the memory of INSPIRE 2022. An enthusiastic young crowd of 114 members were gathered. The program came to an end by having lunch and thereafter a baila dance.
