Mangaluru, Aug 1 : ICYM Permude unit held 'Gadhyanth Udkana' for the parishioners of St. John the Baptist Church, Permude near here on Sunday, 21st July 2019 in order to celebrate the season of crops and extend the awareness on Laudato - Si.

The programme commenced at 9:30 am. Nevin Dcunha - President ICYM Permude unit welcomed the guests and the gathering. Rev. Fr Edwin Vincent Correra – Parish Priest presided and inaugurated the programme along with the Chief Guest Mrs Saroja – President, Permude Grama Panchayat , Leena Dsouza – Member, Permude Grama Panchayat, Henry Dcunha – Vice president and Agnes Concessao – Secretary, Permude parish pastoral council, were the dignitaries of the programme .

Various games were conducted for the children and the elders to increase the bond as one family among the parishioners. The initiative was taken by the youth of ICYM Permude unit to give a touch on traditional farming to the present young generation. Joshna Pereira - Secretary, ICYM Permude unit proposed the vote of thanks and Venessa Fernandes - Joint Secretary, ICYM Permude unit compered the programme.
