Gurpur - Kaikamba , Aug 16 : Pompei Youngster’s Club affiliated to ICYM – PYC unit of Our Lady of Pompei Church, Gurpur - Kaikamba visited St.Anthony Ashram, Jeppu and also celebrated Friendship Day on 13th August 2023 at 2:30 PM. Rev.Fr. Avinash Pais Assistant Director of the Ashram, PYC Alumni Member Peter Antony Pinto, PYC President Vaibhav Rodrigues, Secretary Josvita D'Souza along with the 46 Members of PYC and 100 Members of Ashram were present on this occasion.

Rev. Fr. Avinash Pais gave a brief introduction about the Ashram and all the members of ICYM - PYC went through different sections of the Ashram like Nazareth House (Diabetic Ward), Psychiatric Ward and so on. The main goal of this Program was to create awareness among the youngsters, interact with old age people and also to understand their problems and never let their parents be in these conditions.

Program was started by enlightening God's blessings through and prayer song led by Rian Fernandes and team. Josvita and the team acted out a short comedy drama to make everyone smile and laugh. Followed by dance to make them feel relaxed by Jyothsna and team. And to make everyone feel happy and rejoiced there was a song galore of different language songs such as Kokani, Hindi, Kannada and English by the PYC members. In between there were few action songs as well as games conducted and prizes were distributed. Meantime, Groceries and Sarees donated by the people of Our Lady of Pompei Church, Gurpur - Kaikamba were handed over to the Ashram.

The program was concluded by vote of thanks. All the ICYM - PYC members most importantly visited the Psychiatric Patients Ward and interacted with them. Rushal Lobo was the Master of Ceremony of this event. Once this event was concluded all the ICYM-PYC members travelled to Kadri Park to celebrate Friendship Day. It was celebrated by tying a friendship band and giving chocolates to each other. The entire event was a major success.
