Mangaluru, June 19, 2023 : ICYM - PYC Gurpur celebrated Van Mahotsav on 18th June at 9:30 after the holy mass. Along with PYC Director Fr. Rudolf Ravi D'sa, PYC Animator Mr. Godwin Tauro and ICYM - PYC President Vaibhav Rodrigues there were 30 PYC members present for this special occasion.

In 2021 June, ICYM - PYC planted 100 trees by organising an event called "MIYAWAKI". "MIYAWAKI" is a technique pioneered by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, that helps build dense, native forests in a short time. Today these plants and trees were re-nourished and many saplings like Coffee, Rambuttan, Egg fruit and many more plants were planted.

The ICYM-PYC members showed true team spirit, enthusiasm and worked for 2 continuous hours to protect the mother earth with a slogan "GO GREEN GLOW GREEN". One of the ICYM-PYC members created the Awareness on the importance of the "GO GREEN GLOW GREEN" mission by drawing a couple of beautiful drawings.
